This expansion enables you to (obviously) play the original Settlers with up to 6 players. It creates a bigger island, and has a special build turn that enables everyone to build in order after the person whose turn it is. Essentially, this creates a faster game which you need with the 5-6 players.
This is very popular and definitely recommended.
Mrs Game gives it a 10 because if you know how to play the original this is a walk in the park to learn.
